Dungeness Crab Fishing
The abundance of the delicious Dungeness Crab in the Columbia River often means everyone crabbing on the boat will reach their daily limits!
The crabbing is so good, we guarantee it! If you don’t hit your daily limit, you don’t pay.
Who’s having crab for dinner?
You can keep your catch and cook it for dinner!
We provide cold storage for everything caught while out on the river. We recommend you bring a cooler to safely transport your catch back to your hotel, rental, or home.

Book a seat for yourself or your entire family of up to 6 people. First Pass Outfitters requires a minimum of a 30-day notice of cancellation to be eligible to receive a full refund.
If you don’t have a party of 6 people, you can still book the entire boat for a more private, intimate crabbing experience!
Everything you need to crab will be included. Please still read our what to bring information for recommendations on what else you should bring.
A shellfish license is required. 1-day shellfish licenses are available from all local tackle shops.

$1,050 Books The Boat
The boat seats up to 6 of your friends and family, including yourself. You can have fewer people in your party and still book the boat if you’d like a private tour! The cost to book the boat is $1,050 no matter how many people are in your party.
By booking the entire boat you get to enjoy an 8-hour private crabbing trip with Curtis Bunney, the First Pass Outfitter captain.
Everything you will need to catch crabs is included. Please reference our what to bring page to make sure you have everything else you will possibly need.
You will need a shellfish license from OR or WA. 1-day or 3-day shellfish licenses are available from all local tackle shops and are not expensive.
What you need to bring...
Most importantly, anyone who would like to partake in fishing while on our boat needs to have a valid Oregon or Washington Softshell License. This is the law, and we play by the rules! Learn how to get your softshell license.
We recommend you bring snacks, lunch, and drinks if you’d like.
Other items you should consider bringing, considering we will be on a boat and outdoors, include sunscreen, sunglasses, a hat, chapstick, rain gear, and waterproof boots.
Bring a camera if you’d like to take photos or video.
Seasickness medicine is recommended if you know or think you may get seasick while on a boat.
We provide an ice chest for fish storage while on our boat. If you’d like to transport fish back to your home or wherever you are staying on your visit to Astoria, please bring a cooler to properly transport your catch.
